AAP pulls ahead as margin rises to 7,294 votes after 10th round in Tarn Taran bypolls

Sandhu’s tally climbed to 26,892, maintaining a steady upward trend since the morning. Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidate’s vote count stood at 19,598

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu further strengthened his lead in the Tarn Taran Assembly bypoll as he widened the gap to 7,294 votes after the tenth round of counting on Friday.

Sandhu’s tally climbed to 26,892, maintaining a steady upward trend since the morning. Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidate’s vote count stood at 19,598, while Independent candidate Mandeep Singh, who has emerged as a surprise factor in the contest, reached 11,793 votes.

The Congress candidate lagged behind with 10,139 votes, and the BJP trailed at 3,659.

With each round, AAP has continued to consolidate its position, even as SAD remains in the second spot. The counting is still underway, and observers say more clarity will emerge over the next few rounds.
