After an exemplary performance in Asia Cup 2025, all eyes are on Punjabi batter Abhishek Sharma. After the completing of Asia Cup, Abhishek Sharma has returned to Punjab and on Tuesday he attended his sister Komal Sharma's Shagun ceremony i.e. pre-wedding festive in Ludhiana. Komal Sharma will get married to a Ludhiana-based businessman named Lovish Oberoi.

Ranjit Bawa then took a dig saying, "Ab powerplay mein tang na karna Abhishek nu (from now on don't disturb Abhishek in the powerplay)."
For the unversed, Ranjit Bawa was referencing to Abhishek Sharma taking on Pakistani and other countries bowlers in the powerplay.

Abhishek Sharma's sister Komal's shagun ceremony was held on Tuesday night in Ludhiana, Punjab. The ceremony was held at the Sterling Resort. Former cricketer Yuvraj Singh, Punjabi singers Jassi Gill, Gagan Kokri and people from political fraternity also attended the ceremony.
Abhishek Sharma arrived at Chandigarh Airport on Monday night. From the airport, he shared a photo taken with cricketer Yuvraj Singh on a flight.
Abhishek Sharma arrived at the ceremony around 11 p.m. A large crowd gathered there during the event.
Punjabi singer Jassie Gill also attended the event, and people were seen taking selfies with him.
