SFJ Chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has issued threat to Diljit that his Melbourne concert on November 1 will be shut down as he touched Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan's feet when he participated in KBC 17.
Now, Diljit has clapped back to the threats he received and the controversy that erupted afterwards. Diljit shared a story on his Instagram handle in which he wrote that he did not went to KBC for promotion of his movie or song but for Punjab. He went there so that people talk about Punjab floods on a national level
Notably, the Punjabi singer won Rs 50 lakhs and he pledged to play for Punjab and donate entire earnings for flood relief in Punjab.
The singer managed to go ahead for quite long time without a lifeline. This even made the host say that, “Aap singer hi nahi lekin vidhwaan bhi hai.”
Terrorist Pannun issued a warning against the singer’s upcoming concert in Australia, scheduled for November 1, following what it described as a ‘contentious’ exchange with Amitabh Bachchan.
The controversy began after Diljit’s recent appearance on “Kaun Banega Crorepati 17,” where he greeted Amitabh Bachchan by touching his feet as a mark of respect. However, SFJ took issue with the gesture, alleging that it disrespected the victims of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
In a statement, Pannun claimed that Diljit’s act “insulted every victim, widow, and orphan of the 1984 Sikh Genocide.”
