SSP Vigilance Amritsar Lakhbir Singh's suspension reason

Sources informed that reason of SSP Lakhbir Singh's suspension is not corruption but recommendation. SSP Lakhbir Singh allegedly called an officer associated with the tender and asked him to 'take care' of a particular party.

Not only this, but SSP Singh's reader also reached out to the officer to recommend that particular party for the tender.

Hence, when tender of the second competing party was rejected he reached out to a senior IAS officer working in the Punjab administration alleging favoritism in the tender process.

Seeing the seriousness of the allegations, Punjab Government's Home Affairs department suspended SSP Lakhbir Singh.

Sources clearly mentioned that Lakhbir Singh's suspension is not a case of corruption or bribery but is related to alleged undue recommendation and interference in the tender process.
