Barnala police is currently keeping a strict watch on the sale of such Chinese kite string. In the recent past few days, the Barnala police have registered several cases against those selling Chinese string. A strict warning has also been issued in order to curb its sale, and it has been clear that strict action will be taken against those who are found selling it.
The families who had been affected with the kite string in the past have also come forward to appeal the public to boycott its use. They have promoted the use of Indian kite strings instead. Chanchal Sharma a victim of Chinese string has discouraged its use. A family member talking about a incident that took place last year says that their child’s neck was cut by Chinese string and he narrowly escaped death. They have also urged the police to keep vigil and take strict action on those who are found guilty.
Warning of strict action against Chinese kite string, Barnala SP Ashok Sharma said that Barnala police are taking strict steps against this Chinese kite string. Raids are being conducted from time to time, and those selling Chinese kite string are being apprehended. He appealed to the general public to also avoid Chinese kite string and to immediately inform the police if anyone is caught selling it.
