Big boost for Jalandhar: ₹1.56 crore Shri Ram Chowk road work flagged off by Nitin Kohli

Better infrastructure, safer traffic and transparent growth remain our top priorities, says Nitin Kohli.

The construction of a new road from Shri Ram Chowk to Jail Chowk, costing ₹1.56 crore, was formally inaugurated today. This road will not only strengthen the traffic system but also ensure smoother movement for traders and local residents.

Speaking at the event, Nitin Kohli said that Jalandhar’s development is not the responsibility of any one department but is driven by collective will, determination, and consistency. Highlighting modern, safe, and durable roads as a key priority for Jalandhar Central, he said this project is not just construction work—it is an important step linked to public convenience and the city’s future. He added that development is not merely a promise but a continuous responsibility. This road is a foundation for a better future for the people of the city.

Kohli further added that various development works in the city—road construction, sewerage upgrades, streetlight improvements, and sanitation—are being completed at a fast pace. He said that in the coming months, Jalandhar will witness improved facilities that will make it a model of modern, safe, and comfortable living.

He stated that the Municipal Corporation’s goal is to complete every project on time and with high quality. “Our effort is to ensure that every project is completed promptly and provides relief to citizens rather than inconvenience. This road project is another major step in that direction,” he said. Kohli added that cooperation between public representatives and the Municipal Corporation is steering the city in the right direction, and many more important projects will be launched soon.

Those present at the event included Jatin Gulati, Sonu Chaddha, Gurpreet Kaur, Nikhil Arora, Deepak Dayan, Ajay Chopra, Dheeraj Seth, Sameer Marwaha, Vijay Vassan, Ravi Kumar, Bunty, Gajanand, Sunny, Deepak, and Pankaj.
