Brave shopkeeper fights to resist armed robbers in Ludhiana—Incident caught on CCTV

The incident took place in New Madhopuri, Ludhiana where the accused allegedly threatened the shopkeeper at gunpoint, leading to a scuffle.

An attempted robbery incident has been reported from Madhopuri area of Ludhiana. Reportedly the incident took place at late night hours, when a group of bike-borne miscreants tried to rob a mobile showroom. The entire incident captured on CCTV, it shows how clearly the miscreants with their face covered entered the telecom shop, impersonating as a normal customer. And while engaging the shopkeeper in the communication, the miscreant took out his gun. As per the report, when one miscreant was handling the shopkeeper the other miscreant stood out, maybe to guard that no one from outside came to protect or catch hold of them looting the shop. 

The shopkeeper showed a smart move, he took out a hammer, and it resulted into a shuffle. The shopper fought his best to resist the theft but failed. The shopkeeper had to surrender the cash to the thief. Meanwhile the other miscreant entered inside with a poly bag to collect the cash. Within seconds both the miscreants managed to rob all the cash and fled from the shop. CCTV footage of the shop showed that the shopkeeper tried to run after them but failed to stop them. 

This incident has further raised that concern for the maintenance of law and order in the city. 

The incident has been reported to the police, and investigation is underway. Police are trying to identify the miscreants from the CCTV footage.
