The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has intensified its probe into the bribery case involving DIG IPS Harcharan Singh Bhullar, whose recent arrest has sent shockwaves through the Punjab Police. Bhullar is currently in Burail Jail, Chandigarh, awaiting further proceedings.
Sources confirm that, in addition to Bhullar, several senior officers who were closely associated with him are now under the CBI’s radar. Many of these officers may face questioning in the coming days.
Investigators reportedly recovered a diary from one of Bhullar’s properties, detailing transactions with prominent real estate companies. The CBI is examining these records to trace possible financial irregularities and unexplained assets.
Following raids at multiple Bhullar properties in Chandigarh, Ludhiana, and Patiala, the investigation has expanded significantly. His residences and farmhouses, once bustling during festivals and social gatherings, now lie deserted.
This case has become a major topic of discussion within Punjab Police, with officers closely monitoring CBI developments. Speculation continues over which senior officials may be questioned next, as the agency widens its inquiry.
