CM Mann hits out at Raghav Chadha over silence on key issues, adds "samosa-pizza" dig

Mann hinted at Raghav Chadha being compromised, and says this is going "against the party whip"

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday raised questions over the role of AAP MP Raghav Chadha in Parliament and while replying to a question about Chadha’s earlier statement, where he had criticized the party’s move to ask the Rajya Sabha Secretariat not to give him time to speak in the House, Mann hinted at Raghav Chadha being compromised, and says this is going "against the party whip".

Explaining his point Mann said that when the party takes a clear stand on major issues its leaders are expected to support it and said if someone does not walk out on key matters, avoids speaking on issues like alleged voter list deletions in West Bengal or does not raise their voice when party workers are arrested in Gujarat then the party is bound to act.

The Chief Minister also said that it is normal for political parties to change their leaders in Parliament and gave an example saying that Dharamvir Gandhi had earlier been the party’s leader in the House and later he himself took over that role.

Mann also criticized Chadha’s focus saying that instead of speaking on serious political matters he was talking about “samosas being expensive and delivery time of pizzas.”
