CM Mann Proposes Investment to Yamaha, Honda, and Aisan Industry to Boost Punjab's Industrial Sector

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann meets top Japanese industrialists, invites investment in advanced manufacturing and new growth sectors

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann today presented the state as the most preferred investment destination to leading industrialists in Japan, inviting them to invest in Punjab for their business expansion.

On the first day of his Japan tour, the Chief Minister interacted with representatives from J.B.I.C., Aisin Industry, Yamaha, Honda Motor, the Director-General of J.I.C.A. South Asia Department, Toray Industries, the Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Economy, Trade and Industry (M.E.T.I.), and Fujitsu Limited. During the discussions, Bhagwant Singh Mann expressed the desire to enhance strategic cooperation with Japan in key sectors such as advanced manufacturing, mobility, electronics, food processing, renewable energy, and global services. He invited Japanese companies to explore the new opportunities emerging in the state, stating that the future of Punjab is being reshaped to align with the requirements of these sectors.

The Chief Minister invited investors to participate in the 6th Progressive Punjab Investor Summit, scheduled to be held from March 13–15, 2026, at the ISB Mohali Campus. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the summit will showcase Punjab's progress and bring together major global industries on one platform to present new opportunities for partnership and cooperation. He reiterated that Punjab and Japan can establish strong business ties based on trust, quality, and long-term commitment, and the state government is fully dedicated to further strengthening these relationships.

Sharing his vision, the Chief Minister stated that the state government is committed to creating a shared future of growth and prosperity through strong economic and cultural ties. He mentioned that the land of Punjab is known for its courage, resilience, hard work, entrepreneurship, creativity, and mutual brotherhood. He added that the state has always played a significant role in India's development, especially in making the country self-sufficient in food grain production. Bhagwant Singh Mann emphasized that today, Punjab is moving forward with a new vision to become a leading hub for modern industries, technology, and global cooperation.

Referring to the strong and fruitful relations between Punjab and the Japanese industrial world, the Chief Minister extended a heartfelt invitation to Japanese companies to be part of the next phase of Punjab's evolving industrial environment. He said that the value system of trust, discipline, and long-term partnership is foundational to both Punjab and Japan, which can prove to be highly beneficial for the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann informed them that several Japanese companies are already achieving remarkable success with their businesses in Punjab, and now more prestigious companies are also showing confidence and interest in investing in the state.

During the meetings, Japanese companies expressed deep interest in investing in Punjab following the Chief Minister's invitation. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that such investments will not only create employment opportunities for the youth but also accelerate the state's economic progress. He assured the Japanese investors that the state government will provide complete support and cooperation at every level, stating that further promoting industrial development in the state is the need of the hour.
