Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann took a unique initiative aiming to accelerate the state’s administrative work and development projects by directly engaging with the public in Jalandhar on Thursday. Reportedly, the Chief Minister held a dialogue with the public today at his official residence in Jalandhar where he addressed various grievances and troubles shared by the people present there.
The dialogue lasted for two hours from 11:00AM to 1:00PM, and during this time the CM met with various different people and delegations. Public’s response to the meeting was very positive and they appreciated CM Mann’s distinctive approach.
During this program a man stated that he had come all the way from England to meet with the Chief Minister. The NRI explains that he had some land related dispute. He expresses his delight as his case was heard by the CM very attentively, and was assured that the matter would be resolved soon.
Another man, giving his testament after meeting with the Chief Minister says that the CM looked over all the cases personally in the presence of other officers. He says that it was evident that the CM has genuine concerns for the public which becomes evident by such initiatives.
The residents say that they got assurance from the CM himself that their problems would be looked after and resolved.
