A legal notice has been issued to Ranjit Singh, brother-in-law of Congress MLA Sukhpal Khaira and the notice has been sent by Dr Gurpreet Kaur, wife of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Ranjit Singh has been asked to respond to the notice within 24 hours.
The notice warns that failure to respond within the stipulated time could lead to court proceedings and he may have to appear before the court if he fails to comply with the notice.
