Action taken following firing outside the home of Dr. Varish, the owner of Jalandhar's renowned Vardaan IVF Center in Mota Singh Nagar area.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has ordered strict administrative action after a firing incident reported yesterday night outside Dr. Vardaan Hospital where shots were fired outside the home of Dr. Varish, the owner of Jalandhar's renowned Vardaan IVF Center in Jalandhar.

The Chief Minister directed the suspension of Model Town ACP Paraminder Singh, who holds the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), along with the concerned Station House Officer (SHO) over alleged security lapses.

According to officials, the incident occurred around 10 PM when two unidentified bike-borne assailants wearing helmets fired approximately 2–3 rounds outside the hospital before fleeing the scene.

Police teams immediately reached the location and launched an investigation, including examination of CCTV footage from the hospital and surrounding areas. Authorities confirmed that the doctor had not received any extortion threats prior to the attack.

The Mota Singh Nagar locality has recently witnessed another violent incident, including the murder of AAP leader Lucky Oberoi, where the accused shooter is still reportedly at large.

Security measures across Jalandhar are being reviewed, and officials have assured swift action to identify and arrest the attackers.
