Congress leader’s son dies by suicide; alleges ₹4 crore fraud in viral video message

He recorded a video of about 8 minutes and 45 seconds in which he made serious allegations against a Chandigarh-based builder

Advocate Davinder Natt son of late Congress leader Sukhraj Natt died by suicide late Sunday night and according to police Davinder Natt shot himself with his licensed .30 bore pistol and before taking this step he also recorded a video of about 8 minutes and 45 seconds in which he made serious allegations against a Chandigarh-based builder.

Cheated of ₹4 crore

In the video Davinder claimed that he was cheated of around ₹4 crore by a builder identified as Binderpal Mittal and his sons and said he had invested large amounts of money including his personal savings and funds received after his father’s death and has also alleged that he had taken loans and even arranged money from friends for investment.

Sought political help

Davinder further claimed that he had approached Punjab Cabinet Minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian and Congress MP Charanjit Singh Channi for help in resolving the matter however, he said no solution was reached.

Appeals for justice

In his final message Davinder appealed for justice for his family and requested people to take care of his mother and also said he was under heavy financial stress and mentioned loans of around ₹80 lakh and other liabilities.

Police probe on

After receiving information police reached the spot, took the body into custody and initiated an investigation and as of now the body has been kept in the mortuary and further action will be taken after the arrival of family members.
