In a conversation with the ASI of Sadar Police division it was found out that a white scorpio broke out into massive fire on the Pholriwal road, Jalandhar. It was reported that the car was in motion when it caught fire and only the driver was present in the car who died in the accident.
The ASI informed that the police was called by the Fire Department around 6:30 in the morning. By the time even the Fire brigade could reach there was chance of rescue. The flames spread rapidly, engulfing the entire vehicle within minutes. As soon as the information was received the SHO along with the DSP got to the spot of incident immediately. Upon reaching the site, verification of the car and the driver began. It was found out that the white scorpio car was owned by Gurpreet Singh, son of Sukha Singh initially but was resold. The driver of the car and the current owner still remains unidentified.
The identification of the deceased driver has also become a major challenge for investigators. Officials stated that the intensity of the fire was so severe that the body was badly charred, making it difficult to determine even the gender of the victim during the preliminary examination. Police teams and senior officials have launched a detailed investigation to find out the exact cause of the fire. While nothing has been confirmed at this stage, authorities are examining all possible angles, including a mechanical fault, accidental fire, or any other suspicious circumstances. Investigators are also collecting evidence from the scene and tracing vehicle records to identify the victim and current owner of the Scorpio.
The police authorities and higher officials have taken the matter into priority bases and have started a deeper investigation to answer all the major questions about the incident.
