In a shocking incident, the grandson of senior RSS leader Dina Nath was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Ferozepur’s main market. The victim, Naveen Kumar, was on his way to his shop when two bike-borne attackers approached him from behind and fired a bullet into his head. Naveen collapsed on the spot. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
After the incident, several BJP leaders reached the scene and created a strong protest, accusing the administration of failing to control rising crime. They claimed that a firing incident had taken place in the same area just last week.
A video related to the shooting has also surfaced. According to the police, CCTV footage from nearby shops has been collected, and efforts are underway to identify the suspects. The police have intensified the search and assured that the killers will be arrested soon.
Witnesses reported that as soon as the gunshot was heard, nearby shopkeepers immediately shut their shutters in panic. The market was filled with chaos as people ran for cover. Naveen’s body has been taken into police custody and kept at the civil hospital for post-mortem examination.
Authorities say two unidentified men carried out the attack and fled the scene right after firing. Investigation is ongoing, and the police are working on multiple leads obtained from CCTV visuals.
