In a major development, bullets were fired at former Ludhiana MLA Simarjit Singh Bains's SUV Defender on Friday night. A close aide of Simarjit Singh Bains on condition of anonymity confirmed that firing took place late at night on Friday.
It has been further revealed that Simarjit Singh Bains' car was standing at his farm house when bullet were fired. As per sources, the firing is linked to a family dispute. However, no official complaint has been filed yet.
Also the former MLA is yet to issue any statement. It is said that the matter may be settled between the family members. The source informed that Simarjit Singh Bains and did not sustain any injuries in the attack.
Furthermore, Ludhiana Police has not issued any official statement in the matter.
