NHS Hospital, known for its advanced medical care and strong orthopaedic expertise, is currently organising a Free Paediatric Orthopaedic Camp that has already made a significant impact on the lives of children and their families. The camp began on 22nd December and will continue until 31st December, running Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The camp is being led by Dr Sheenam Bansal, Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon, who has been diagnosing and treating children with a wide range of musculoskeletal and developmental conditions. In just a few days, over 80 patients have been examined, and more than 10 successful surgeries have already been performed at highly discounted costs, offering immense relief to families.
This specialised camp is proving to be a valuable opportunity for children suffering from gait disorders, bow legs, knock knees, cerebral palsy, clubfoot, developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), neuromuscular disorders, soft or brittle bones, flat feet, and brachial plexus birth palsy. Parents whose children show symptoms such as abnormal walking patterns, limb deformities, delayed motor milestones, or bone weakness are strongly encouraged to visit the camp before it concludes.
One of the most notable aspects of this initiative is that consultation during the camp is completely free of cost. In addition, patients are receiving the benefit of discounted investigations, making quality paediatric orthopaedic care more accessible to the community.
Speaking about the initiative, Dr Shubhang Aggarwal, Director, Head of Department and Senior Orthopaedic Surgeon at NHS Hospital, emphasised the hospital’s commitment to delivering specialised care through advanced medical solutions. He highlighted that NHS Hospital houses a big orthopaedic department with a team of five highly experienced orthopaedic surgeons, supported by cutting-edge technology and modern infrastructure.
“NHS Hospital continuously strives to bring specialised healthcare closer to people. This paediatric orthopaedic camp is a step towards early diagnosis and timely treatment, which is crucial for a child’s long-term growth and mobility,” Dr Aggarwal stated.
Dr Sheenam Bansal added that early intervention can prevent complications later in life. “Many childhood orthopaedic conditions, if diagnosed early, can be corrected successfully. Through this camp, we aim to guide parents and provide the right treatment at the right time,” she said.
With only a few days remaining, parents are advised not to miss this opportunity and take advantage of the camp until 31st December. NHS Hospital continues to strengthen its reputation as a centre of excellence in orthopaedic care, combining expertise, compassion and advanced technology for better patient outcomes.
