Health Card Camp held under Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana in Jalandhar Central, thousands to benefit

Thousands of citizens are expected to benefit from the camp being held at Jalandhar Central Halka In-charge Nitin Kohli’s main office.

With the objective of taking the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana to the grassroots level in the Jalandhar Central Assembly constituency, a special health card camp is being organised at the main office on the initiative of Aam Aadmi Party constituency in-charge Nitin Kohli.

Through this camp, thousands of citizens are expected to receive the benefits of the scheme, while a large number of families have already been successfully registered. The camp has emerged as a reliable medium for the general public to connect with health security.

The Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana has emerged as the biggest and most comprehensive health security scheme in the country’s history after Independence. Under this scheme, every Punjabi citizen is entitled to free medical treatment of up to ₹10 lakh without any income limit, conditions, or restrictions.

Whether rich or poor, employed in the government sector or the private sector, no discrimination of any kind is made. The objective of the scheme is to completely eliminate the financial burden and fear associated with illness and treatment.

Under the scheme, treatment, operations, and surgeries for more than 2,000 minor and major diseases—from knee replacement to kidney transplant, and from heart ailments to serious diseases like cancer—are provided completely free and cashless.

From hospital admission to a patient’s recovery and return home the responsibility is ensured by the government. More than 900 government and private hospitals in Punjab and Chandigarh have been empanelled under the scheme.

The healthcare scheme is a historic initiative launched under the visionary and people-centric thinking of Arvind Kejriwal and the strong, honest, and decisive leadership of Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann. It has transformed healthcare facilities from a privilege of a particular class into a fundamental right of every common citizen. Implemented with a spirit of equality, dignity, and trust, the scheme makes no distinction between rich and poor.

Nitin Kohli has a clear vision to ensure that the benefits of the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana reach all 22 wards and every citizen of Jalandhar Central. With this objective, continuous efforts are being made to ensure that no eligible family is deprived of the scheme.

He believes that welfare schemes are meaningful only when they move beyond paperwork and bring real change in the lives of the people at the grassroots level, which is why this initiative is being implemented with full commitment.

Considering the growing public participation and positive response, a special health card camp will also be started in the coming weeks at the office located in Rama Mandi, so that more citizens from that area can avail registration and scheme benefits closer to their homes.

This initiative is being seen as a strong and decisive step towards taking health security to every household in Jalandhar Central.
