Flights leaving Adampur airport in Jalandhar, run by IndiGo, are back on track; people now prefer this carrier again. According to the airport head, nearly nine out of ten flyers from there pick IndiGo these days. He believes that this is the proof that the trust in local flights is growing.
What has changed
IndiGo ran into big trouble lately, shutting down flights nationwide, that even affected the travelers at Adampur airport. Since then, fixes were made, schedules rejigged; things are running smoother now. Flights out of Adampur are back on track, finally easing stress for those stuck and anxious.
The airport boss says IndiGo’s Adampur flights are mostly sticking to schedule, while ticket demand has bounced back, filling up nearly every route. Residents form Jalandhar and surrounding areas - after being stuck taking longer routes or scrapping trips altogether - are now expecting direct flights from Adampur again.
Travellers are now getting things back to usual, which means shorter trips plus lower costs since they don’t have to rely on far-off hubs like Delhi or Amritsar anymore.
