Indian Railways have amped up the services of Vande Bharat in Punjab. Punjab has got multiple Vande Bharat Express. While it had already got New Delhi to Amritsar Vande Bharat Express, it has recently got Amritsar to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. Now, Ferozepur to New Delhi Vande Bharat Express has also got the nod of the Indian Railways.
Notably, Amritsar to Katra Vande Bharat Express has a halt at Jalandhar City. It is the first Vande Bharat Express that is stopping at Jalandhar City Railway Station.
Courtesy of operation of Vande Bharat Express in Punjab, the time travel between Jalandhar and Srinagar has also decreased and passengers can now save their time.

To travel from Jalandhar to Srinagar, you need interchange Vande Bharat Express. First you need to board the Vande Bharat Express from Jalandhar City to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and then from there you need to board Vande Bharat Express to Srinagar.
Amritsar to Katra Vande Bharat Train (26405) departs from Amritsar at 4:25 pm and will reach Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 10 pm.
The new Vande Bharat train from Amritsar reaches Jalandhar City at 5:31 pm and will reach Katra at 10 pm via Pathankot Cantt and Jammu Tawi.
The total distance the new Punjab Vande Bharat cover is 367.82. Between Jalandhar and Katra, the Vande Bharat Train takes only 4.5 hours.
After reaching Katra, you can board Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to Srinagar Vande Bharat Express (26401). It will take you to Srinagar in almost 3 hours.

From Katra, passengers can board connecting trains like the Vande Bharat to Jalandhar, completing the round trip in the same day if planned efficiently.
Until now, reaching Srinagar from Punjab meant either a long road trip of 12–14 hours or multiple flight connections. With this new Vande Bharat service, the entire journey—from Jalandhar to Srinagar—can be completed in under 12 hours of total travel time, with unmatched comfort.
