A serious road accident took place on the Goraya highway in Jalandhar when a truck and a car collided with each other and the impact was very strong where both vehicles overturned on the road. According to available information the truck belonged to Nav Bharat Transport and was carrying soap and other goods and was on its way towards Jalandhar at the time of the accident.
As per reports three people were seriously injured in the incident and they were taken to a nearby hospital where they are currently receiving treatment whereas the driver of a Bolero vehicle said that he managed to move his car to safety during the accident and did not suffer any injuries.
One of the injured persons identified as Sarabjit said that he had stopped his vehicle and was about to turn towards a nearby petrol pump and adds that his vehicle’s high-beam flasher was on but the truck came from behind and hit the car and due to the collision both the truck and the car overturned and the truck also climbed onto the road divider.
People present at the spot informed the police about the accident and police teams reached the scene and started an investigation and the officials said that statements of the people involved are being recorded and further action will be taken based on the findings.
