Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Jalandhar, Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal constitutes a committee to investigate the construction and design of the Ladhewali flyover in Jalandhar city. The decision has been taken keeping public interest and safety on mind. Reportedly, concerns were being made about inconvenience and hardship faced by commuters due to various deficiencies in the flyover’s construction and design.
The DC has issued clear instructions to the newly constituted committee stating that a through inspection must be conducted and all the technical and administrative aspects related to the construction and design of the flyover must also be verified. It was also instructed that if any negligence or violation of norms is found, then a report with clear recommendations must be submitted within 15 days.
DC Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal said that the district administration is committed to the safety and convenience of the people and affirmed that no negligence of any sort will be tolerated.
