Sanjeev Arora, Minister for Industries and Local Government, met with Nitin Kohli, Halka Incharge Jalandhar Central, and Vaneet Dhir, Mayor of Jalandhar Municipal Corporation. The meeting was highly fruitful, with detailed discussions on ongoing and upcoming development works in Jalandhar.
Nitin Kohli stated that “the development of roads, drainage systems, parks and sports facilities across every part of Jalandhar Central is my top priority. I am fully committed to ensuring that development work is carried out in a timely and effective manner. Our goal is to provide safe, well-planned and modern facilities to the residents, with regular monitoring of every project.”
He further added that “along with roads, drainage, parks and playgrounds, special focus will also be given to civic amenities and community centres. Ensuring continuity and quality in development across Jalandhar Central remains our priority so that citizens receive the benefits of every project without delay.”
Vaneet Dhir, Mayor of Jalandhar Municipal Corporation, said that the Municipal Corporation is committed to implementing all development works in a transparent and time-bound manner. He emphasized road widening, improved parking facilities, green spaces and the upgradation of sports infrastructure, adding that citizens’ convenience and overall city development will always remain the top priority.
Sanjeev Arora, Minister for Industries, Power, Investment Promotion and Local Government (Local Bodies), assured full support from the state government for development works in Jalandhar. He stated that all corporations and concerned departments will work in coordination, and that projects will be closely monitored at the highest level to ensure timely and quality execution.
It was decided in the meeting that all development works in Jalandhar will be accelerated through coordinated efforts between the Municipal Corporation and the state government. The Minister also assured that quality standards and timelines will be strictly maintained in all projects.
In the coming days, development in Jalandhar will be further strengthened, with visible improvements in roads, parks, sports and community facilities.
