Multiple districts of Punjab on January 27 were hit by rainfall in the morning. Jalandhar City also witnessed showers in the morning. However, by 9:30 am, sun came out and rainfall stopped. This is the second time in just few days that Jalandhar and other Punjab districts have witnessed rainfall. On January 23, most of the districts of Punjab witnessed thunderstorm and lightning.
Now, it seems like rainfall is again likely to hit multiple districts of Punjab including Jalandhar this week.
According to weather website AccuWeather's prediction, multiple districts of Punjab are likely to start the month of February with rainfall.
In Jalandhar, there is 59 percent chances of rainfall on February 1 aftternoon i.e. Sunday.
Kapurthala is also expected to witness rainfall on February 1. There is 56 percent chances of afternoon showers.
Hoshiarpur is likely to witness rainfall on February 1 in the evening or late at night.
Pathankot is also expected to witness afternoon showers on February 1.
The reason behind change of weather i.e. rainfall in Punjab is Western Disturbance. A western disturbance is a storm system that travels from the west toward India, carrying moisture and bad weather with it.
