A man named Sharandeep Singh hailing from Bhoepur village in the Shahkot area of Jalandhar district in Punjab has been arrested in Pakistan. According to reports, Sharandeep was arrested by Pakistani Rangers. It is alleged that he was arrested for allegedly crossing Indo-Pakistan border. Sharandeep was caught in the Kasur sector of Pakistan
Currently, it is unclear under what circumstances Sharandeep crossed the border. Indian security agencies have been informed of the incident, and further investigation is underway.
Initial report suggests that Sharandeep's father, Satnam Singh, had filed a missing person report for his son. According to reports, he has a previous FIR registered against him and had also spent time in Kapurthala jail about a month ago.
It is claimed that he was out on bail, however, he went missing a few days back.
