Mrs. Madhvi Sharma, PPS, ADCP-2, Commissionerate Jalandhar informed that an incident involving a sword attack on a youth took place at a petrol pump in the West area of Jalandhar following an altercation over the enforcement of police instructions prohibiting the refuelling of vehicles without number plates.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Commissionerate Police Jalandhar acted promptly and reached the spot within minutes. The accused were arrested, and legal proceedings are being initiated against them under the relevant provisions of law. Section 109 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has also been added to the case.
Commissionerate Police Jalandhar appeals to all petrol pump owners and employees to strictly comply with the instructions and guidelines issued by the police. The general public is also urged to cooperate with the police in maintaining law and order.
