Jalandhar will witness a scheduled power shutdown on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM in several areas under the Dhaliwal feeder.
The outage is being carried out due to general maintenance work and tree cutting activities to ensure safety and prevent disruptions in the electricity supply.
According to the official notice, the 11 kV Dhaliwal UPS feeder, which is fed from the 66 kV Kot Sadiq grid, will remain shut during the specified hours.
Areas affected by the power cut include Village Dhaliwal, Gakhal, Gill, Safipur, Wadala, Sehjhangi, and nearby localities
A scheduled power shutdown will also take place on May 5, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM under the 11 kV Basti Nau and 11 kV Basti Guzan feeders due to maintenance work and tree cutting. Areas that will also face the power cut include Basti Nau, Nizatam Nagar, Car Bazar Road, Dyal Nagar, Ganesh Nagar, as well as Basti Guzan, Lamba Bazar, Valmiki Mohalla, Manjeet Nagar, and Dilbagh Nagar.
