Jalandhar: Residents in several areas of the city will face a scheduled power outage on Sunday, August 16, 2026, due to essential maintenance work at the 66 kV Kot Sadiq Substation.
According to the shutdown schedule, electricity supply will remain disrupted from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The Basti Sheikh, Jaina Nagar and Gurmehar Enclave feeders connected to the substation will remain shut during this period.
The areas likely to be affected include Guru Nanak Nagar, Basti Sheikh, Jaina Nagar, Dashmesh Nagar, Gurmehar Enclave, Raj Enclave, Geeta Colony, Chopra Colony, AS Villa, Lassuri Mohalla, Majer Singh Colony and adjoining localities.
Residents are advised to make necessary arrangements and cooperate during the maintenance work. The inconvenience caused is regretted.
