On the occasion of Independence Day, a program will be held at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Stadium. To ensure residents don't get stuck in a traffic jam, Jalandhar police have announced special traffic diversions and parking arrangements on August 15, 2025.

No entry of heavy vehicles from T-Point Nakodar Road towards Milkbar Chowk.
Prohibition of coming from Nakodar Chowk towards Guru Nanak Mission Chowk.
No Entry from T-Point A.P.J. College towards Chunn-Munn Chowk.
Movement of heavy vehicles from Masand Chowk towards Milkbar Chowk prohibited.
Movement from Geeta Mandir Traffic Signal towards Chunn-Munn Chowk prohibited.
Road from Pratap Pura Nakodar Road to C.T. Institute – Urban Estate – Cool Road – Samra Chowk will be in effect.
7:00 am to 2:00 pm: Buses and heavy vehicles going to and from Kapurthala from Jalandhar Bus Stand/City will use P.A.P. Chowk – Kartarpur route.
7:00 am to 2:00 pm: Light vehicles going from Jalandhar Bus Stand/City to Nakodar-Shahkot will use Bus Stand – Samra Chowk – Cool Road – Urban Estate Phase-2 – C.T. Institute, via village Pratappura route. Movement on Wadala Chowk – Ravidas Chowk route will be completely closed.
7:00 AM to 2:00 PM: Buses from Jalandhar Bus Stand to Nakodar – Shahkot – Moga will ply via P.A.P. Chowk – Rama Mandi Chowk – McDonald – Jamsher Bypass.
