Are you one of those looking to become members of the prestigious Jullundur Gymkhana Club? You will now have to pay a higher fee. The club has announced a 25% hike in membership charges, increasing the fee from Rs 12 Lakh to Rs 15 lakh, starting from the new year, January 1.
The decision was taken during the club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Thursday. Along with the fee hike, the club also approved its balance sheet showing a profit of ₹1.37 crore and confirmed 13 employees to permanent status.
The management announced that several new projects will soon begin under the club’s modernization plan. These include the renovation of the swimming pool, gym, and squash court, along with the installation of new modern equipment. Additionally, the club plans to develop improved indoor sports areas and a better parking facility. According to the management, the infrastructure upgrades will be implemented in phases and are expected to be completed by 2026.
The meeting was chaired by Club President Inderjit Saini, with Vice President Charanjit Sethi, Honorary Secretary Varinder Singh, Treasurer Pawan Kumar and committee members Vikramjit Singh, Ashok Gupta, Jasbir Singh, Varun Bawa and Ravi Mahajan in attendance.
They said the profit, staff confirmations, and development measures reflect the club’s commitment to offering a world-class experience to its members while ensuring long-term financial growth and stability.
