Jalandhar is currently facing traffic issues as several important traffic signals in the city are not working and these signals are located at some of the busiest roads and intersections which is affecting the smooth movement of vehicles and causing inconvenience to the public and according to the information available the non-functional traffic lights include:
Patel Chowk
Opposite PIMS (Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences)
Near Ladowali Road
Near the Bus Stand
Near Cool Road
These locations see heavy daily traffic and signals not working at these points are making it difficult for drivers to manage traffic properly and this is also increasing the chances of traffic jams and confusion on the roads.
When contacted Mayor of Jalandhar Vaneet Dhir said that the issue will be resolved soon and also informed that a solution will be worked out within a week and talking about the same he also said that new traffic lights are being installed across the city as part of efforts to improve the overall traffic system but for now commuters continue to face problems at these major junctions.
