Punjab residents get a big bonanza as Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu recently announced an exclusive Vande Bharat sleeper train between Delhi and Amritsar, that is scheduled to be launched by the coming winters. As per the information, the train will travel via Chandigarh, Ludhiana and Jalandhar to further reach the holy city of Amritsar.
So, this comes as good news for the residents of Jalandhar as well.
As per the reports, land has been identified at Ladhowal near Ludhiana for a loco-shed as a mandatory terminal point. So, the residents of Punjab can expect to avail a faster, and more comfortable overnight rail service from the next winter season onwards. The Indian Railways has planned to launch these sleeper coaches on semi-high speed Vande Bharat Express service that would run on the NCT-Northwest Punjab Corridor.
Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu has expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister of India for approving and sanctioning the project as a major gift to the people of the region. He affirms that the new ROB would not only ease the daily commute but also significantly accelerate the economic activity of the region as well.
