Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal is set to formally launch the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna (MMSY) in Punjab on January 15. This marks a historic move towards achieving universal health coverage as promised earlier by the CM Bhagwant Mann.
This move is expected to mark a significant milestone of providing ₹10 lakh cashless health insurance cover to all families of Punjab. The government aims to enroll every Punjabi under this scheme so that, all residents of the state can avail its benefits.
The government is planning to organize camps at designated CSC Centre locations available at the village/ward level across rural and urban areas. As per reports, the camps will operate seven days a week between 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
In order to get enrolled and avail the benefits of the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna, the first and foremost condition is that the beneficiary/member/family must be a resident of Punjab and possess valid identity documents to verify the same.
The documents required to get enrolled are:
1. Voter ID Card
2. Aadhaar Card
Note: In case the applicant is a minor then Birth Certificate of member, along with ID Card of head of family and declaration stating relation with the minor member is also required.
The Youth Club Representative (Sehat Mitra) will issue the appointment slips to the beneficiary families after door-to-door visits. The date and time of the enrolment will be mentioned on the appointment slip.
Based on the appointment slip, the CSC VLE shall initiate the enrolment process on the web portal. In case of any emergency where immediate hospitalization is required, the Sehat Mitra may issue an appointment slip at CSC Centers. As per reports, no enrolment shall be permitted without a valid appointment slip. Upon successful completion of the enrolment process, an acknowledgement slip shall be handed over to the beneficiary family. A automated system-generated SMS shall also be sent to the beneficiary’s registered mobile number.
The final cards shall be distributed to the beneficiaries upon completion of printing, with an approximate turnaround time of two weeks.
