The political anticipation in state is rising as the Punjab Assembly polls of 2027 are approaching. All the parties are taking crucial decisions in order to prep for the upcoming elections. Now, a major development has taken place in this regard. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced its first candidate from Majitha for the 2027 polls.
The party has fielded Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Talbir Singh Gill as a candidate from Majitha for the 2027 Assembly elections. The announcement was made during a public function where the CM Mann laid the foundation stone for 23 rural link roads worth Rs 11.32 crore. The CM asserts that the people of Majitha would no longer have to face intimidation or political fear mongering.
He further asserts that the people of Majitha have now chosen a new path and blatantly rejected the politics of intimidation that was long and persistent practice done by the Majithia and Badal family. He says that bringing Akali Dal back to power would mean inviting the dark era of sacrilege back into the state. Talking further about the perturbed past of Majitha, the CM recalls how the area once lived under a constant state of fear. He also shed light on the false cases used to intimidate the ordinary citizens under the Congress and Akali rule.
