The Electricity Department of Jalandhar has announced a scheduled power cut in some areas of Jalandhar on today (Wednesday, March 11). The power cut is going to take place due to maintenance work at multiple 11 KV feeders.
As per the schedule announced by the power department, the 11 KV Adda Hoshiarpur feeder will remain shut from 9 AM to 4 PM. The areas that would be affected by the cut are:
1. Kishanpura
2. Ajit Nagar
3. Ravidas School Road
4. Jagatpura
5. Other nearby localities
Similarly, electricity supply from the 11 KV Urban Estate feeder will remain closed from 11 AM to 3 PM. The areas that would be affected by the cut are:
1. Urban Estate Phase-2
2. Ravinder Nagar
3. 24 Carat Flats
4. Other surrounding areas
Meanwhile, supply from the 11 KV Gurmhar Enclave feeder will be suspended from 11 AM to 2 PM. The areas that would be affected by the cut are:
1. Geeta Colony
2. New Geeta Colony
3. Raj Enclave
4. Other nearby areas
In addition, power supply will also remain affected from 9 AM to 3 PM in several other localities including Basti Guzan, Dilbagh Nagar, Govind Nagar, New Govind Nagar, Surya Nagar, Shakti Park, Main Bazaar, Village Dhaliwal, Gakhal, Chogawan, Kot Sadiq, Kala Singha Road, Kashi Nagar, Green Avenue, Thind Enclave, Ishwar Colony, Guru Nanak Nagar, Basti Sheikh, Jaina Nagar, Dashmesh Nagar, Janak Nagar, Bada Bazaar, Chopra Colony, Baldev Nagar, Raja Garden, Ujala Nagar, and surrounding areas.
The power department has advised residents to plan their activities accordingly during the scheduled outage.
