Former MLA and BJP leader Sheetal Angural on Sunday shared a CCTV footage from Jalandhar West Constituency and alleged that a lottery shop was robbed by armed men. The incident reportedly took place on November 13, 2025.
In the CCTV clip, a group of armed men carrying sharp weapon can be seen threatening and robbing the lottery shop. A man can be heard pleading the robbers 'Assi Garib Hain (I am poor)' so that they dont carry out the crime out of mercy. Angural in his video had alleged that illegal lottery shops are operational in Jalandhar West Constituency and even slammed the police over the incident.
Sheetal Angural took to his Facebook handle and shared a video of himself alleging that illegal b*tting are flourishing in Jalandhar. He also slammed the police saying that they failed in their responsibilities.
Angural went onto say that those who ran lotteries in Jalandhar and took money have been exposed. Slamming the police administration Angural said that these activities bring disrepute to everyone. "I've spoken out against lottery g@mbling many times, but no action has been taken. To humiliate me, a lottery shop was opened outside my house," said Angural.
Before sharing the CCTV footage, Sheetal claimed that Jalandhar police said there wasn't a single lottery stall in the entire city. "I'll tell you how the g@mbling den was looted on November 13th. The time was 8:55 PM. There's a full video of the scuffle."
