In a major development, the star night that was supposed to take place in Ludhiana Saras Mela today i.e. on October 7 has been postponed. Ludhiana Saras Mela star-night has been postponed due to heavy rainfall the district witnessed on October 7.
An official announcement suggests that due to heavy accumulation of rain water in Saras mela area including concert area and keeping in mind the safety of public, today’s star night of Kanwar Grewal and Manraj Patar stands postponed. New date of this particular star night will be announced soon.
It is pertinent to mention here that earlier, Satinder Sartaaj's Sara Mela schedule was also changed. Satinder Sartaaj at the Saras Mela in Ludhiana has been officially rescheduled from its original date of October 10 to the closing night, October 13.
As per reports, the change in date came at Sartaaj’s request due to the Karwa Chauth festival falling on October 10 a day of significance for many.
The Saras Mela 2025 is currently underway on the grounds of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, running from October 4 to October 13. The mela is known for promoting India’s cultural heritage showcasing traditional crafts, regional cuisines, performances, and workshops from across the country.
