How Did Divit Auluck and Aarav Talwar Die?
The tragic incident took place in the early hours of November 1 near the Police Lines flyover in Jalandhar. Divit Auluck, 18, and his friend Aarav Talwar, 19, were travelling in a Volkswagen Jetta along with three other friends when their car rammed into a Municipal Corporation garbage trolley parked on the flyover.
The collision left the car severely damaged, particularly on the side where Divit and Aarav were seated. Both youngsters died in the accident, while the other three occupants sustained minor injuries.
According to police, the vehicle was returning from the BMC Chowk side when the accident occurred. The incident also raised questions about the presence of the municipal vehicle on the flyover and whether adequate reflective warning markers were in place.
Police have not confirmed reports of a racing contest involving multiple vehicles. Baradari SHO Sahil Chowdhary said there was no information establishing that a racing duel had taken place.
