A FIR was registered at Police Station 6, Model Town, Jalandhar following the murder of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Satwinder Pal Singh alias Lucky Oberoi under sections 103(1), 3(5), 61(2) of the BNS and sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act. Jograj Singh alias Joga, Dalbira Singh and two other unknown persons were booked. Now, Dalbira has come forward and broke his silence stating that he had nothing to do with the murder and alleges that he has never even spoken to Lucky.
Talking further about this, Dalbira says that he has never had any personal enmity with Lucky Oberoi. He explains that not even once in his life he spoke to Lucky, not even on phone. Dalbira claims that Lucky’s family has been mislead and all the claims being made against him are completely baseless. He further alleges that Lucky’s friend Shashi Sharma is an old rival of his and he has been deliberately dragging him into the case. Dalbira claims that he had left the world of crime and had been living peacefully for the past two years, but however now this case had once again brought him in controversy.
Dalbira has blamed Shashi Sharma for the entire controversy and said that he had a long-standing dispute with Shashi Sharma. He alleges that Shashi Sharma instigated Lucky’s brother and had him named in this case even without his involvement. He claims that Shashi Sharma has done this to avenge his old rivalry.
Dalbira in his statement also criticizes the presidency culture in politics and colleges. He adds that the hunger for presidency is ruining young lives. He shares how Lucky, Shashi and Joga were all together earlier but just a dispute over presidency got so blown out of proportion. He has demanded an impartial investigation into the matter and stated that innocent people suffer because of those who sit outside and issue threats on social media.
