New twist in firing at Kapil Sharma's Kap’s Cafe; Terror outfit Babbar Khalsa issues 2-page detailed statement

In their detailed statement, Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) denied its link with the firing incident that took place outside Kapil Sharma's restaurant.

Days after firing at comedian Kapil Sharma's newly-opened Kap’s Cafe restaurant, terror outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) has issued a detailed 2-pages statement.

In their detailed statement, Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) denied its link with the firing incident that took place outside Kapil Sharma's restaurant. For the unversed, Harjit Singh Laddi, a BKI operative, a most wanted terrorist in India, had claimed responsibility for the shooting outside Kapil Sharma's cafe.

Harjit Singh alias Laddi's unverified social media post claimed that the firing took place in protest against the comedian's purported comments on Nihang Singhs.

Laddi, along with another individual named Toofan Singh, shared a social media post in which they warned Kapil Sharma to issue a public apology, saying failure to do so could escalate the situation further.

Now, Babbar Khalsa International has distanced itself from the firing incident that took place in Canada. A line in the detailed statement reads-

"..some selfish elements are extorting money from people, threatening, and spreading fear in the society using the name of Babbar Khalsa. The organization makes it clear that it has nothing to do with these acts.

Threatening is against our principles. If any person asks for money or threatens anyone in the name of Babbar Khalsa, it is against our principles. They should stop this work immediately. If anyone misuses our name, strict action will be taken against him."

Interestingly, Sikh For Justice Chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannun had also threatened Kapil Sharma after the firing incident. Pannun had shared a video saying, "Why is Kapil Sharma, who says 'Mera Bharat Mahaan', not investing in Modi's India? Is Kap's Café just a comedy cafe or a part of a strategy to expand Hindutva globally?"
