NHS Hospital, Jalandhar achieved a major academic milestone by successfully hosting a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program titled “Growth Brings in Growing Challenges” at its auditorium yesterday. The CME was a collaborative effort by CAHO (Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations) and was jointly organized by the Nursing Home Association and NHS Hospital, Jalandhar.
The CME was organized under the leadership of Dr Naveen Chitkara, Director & Senior Neuro and Spine Surgeon, a prominent and highly respected name in the region. The program addressed one of the most pressing needs of modern healthcare—how to effectively run and scale a hospital as an owner while managing operational, clinical, and regulatory challenges.
The academic sessions commenced at 9:30 AM and continued till 4:20 PM, receiving an excellent response from the medical fraternity. More than 30 delegates participated physically, while over 30 healthcare professionals attended online via Google Meet, making it a well-attended national-level CME. Nearly 10 comprehensive lectures were delivered during the day.
The inauguration ceremony was held at 11:00 AM in the presence of eminent speakers and dignitaries. The CME was gracefully hosted by Dr Narender Paul, Senior General & Laparoscopic Surgeon, Fortis Hospital, who ensured smooth conduct of the program.
Distinguished speakers included Dr Babu Narayanan (Consultant Physician & Diabetologist, Chennai), Dr Arun Gupta (Former President, Delhi Medical Council), Dr Narin Sehgal (Delhi), Dr Swapan Sood, Dr Yash Sharma, Dr J S Thind, Dr Amit Singhal, Dr Naveen Chitkara, Dr Pankaj Mittal, Dr Narender Paul, Dr Shweta Prabhakar, and Dr Aman Madhok. The sessions provided valuable insights into leadership, hospital administration, compliance, financial sustainability, and future-ready healthcare systems.
