81-year-old Punjabi actress Nirmal Rishi on Saturday won the best supporting actor award at the prestigious Filmfare Punjabi Awards 2025. Nirmal Rishi had acted in the Punjabi movie Jatt nuu chudail takri. Apart from Nirmal Rishi, the movie had featured Gippy Grewal, Sargun Mehta, and Roppi Gill in the key roles.

The start-studded ceremony started with a special tribute Punjab's iconic comedian and actor Jaswinder Bhalla. Jaswinder Bhalla died on Friday. The comedian breathed his last at the age of 65. He passed away due to brain stroke.
The show was hosted by none other than Himanshi Khurana and Maniesh Paul.
