Kohli congratulated the Indian teams for their outstanding performances and said the double gold-medal achievement was a matter of immense pride for the country and Indian hockey.
He said the historic success reflected the hard work of the players, the coaching staff and the collective efforts involved in preparing both teams for the Asian Games.
Kohli also acknowledged the contribution of the Hockey India selection committee members, including Dr. R.P. Singh, Mohammed Riyaz, M.M. Somaya and Balwinder Singh Shammi, whose experience and understanding of international hockey contributed to the selection of the gold-winning squads.
He said the achievement of both teams winning gold for the first time at the Asian Games would give a major boost to Indian hockey and inspire young players across the country, particularly in Punjab.
