Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann held a high-level meeting with the Police Commissioners/IGs/DIGs and SSPs across the state. The meeting took place after the completion of Operation Prahar 2.0 that was launched by the Punjab Police under the ‘war on gangsters’ campaign. The Chief Minister took stock of the current law and order situation of the state where the Chief Secretary and DGP were also present.
The meeting focused on taking a feedback from the officers on the issue of law and order and also reviewed the ongoing operations taking place in the state. As per reports new strategies were discussed to deal with the crime in the state. The Chief Minister asserted that any type of crime will not be tolerated in the state at any cost.
After chairing the meeting with the officers CM Mann took to his X handle and shared a few glimpses of the meeting. He shares that Police Commissioners from across the state, SSPs from all districts and senior officers of the Punjab Police were present in the meeting that took place in Chandigarh today (Thursday).
Sharing further insights about the meeting he says that instructions were issued to the officials to maintain strict vigil on the law and order situation. The ‘war on drugs’ and ‘war on gangsters’ campaigns were also reviewed during this meeting. The CM retreated that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government is committed to maintaining law and order in Punjab and ensuring the safety of the common people.
