Second attack on BJP office in four months
Earlier, on April 1, 2026, a hand grenade was thrown outside the Punjab BJP headquarters in Sector 37, Chandigarh. The grenade fell near the office parking area, damaging vehicles parked there, but no one was injured.
During the investigation, police claimed to have found links with foreign-based handlers and the banned organisation Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). A chargesheet has also been filed in the case.
After this second incident in a short span, questions have once again been raised over the security of political party offices in Punjab.
