The stage is all set for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Punjab. PM Modi will visit Jalandhar on February 1 and will head to Dera Sachkhand Ballan to offer his prayers on the occasion of Guru Ravidass Ji's Parkash Purab.
To ensure PM Modi's visit to Jalandhar remain smooth, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav along with other senior officials visited Dera Ballan and nearby areas to review security situation. Ever since the announcement of PM Modi's visit to Punjab, multiple bomb threats have been received by schools of the state. On January 31 morning, multiple prominent schools of Jalandhar received bomb threat with sending writing inflammatory remarks against Prime Minister Modi.
However, Centre's PIB has confirmed that PM Modi's visit to Jalandhar on February 1 is on schedule. Not only this, but PIB has also released PM Modi's Punjab Itinerary.
One of the major highlights of PM Modi's Jalandhar visit is his arrival at Dera Sachkhand Ballan.
According to sources, PM Modi will land directly at Adampur Airport and will proceed to Dera Sachkhand Ballan by helicopter. A helipad is currently being prepared at the venue. There is no plan for road movement during the visit.
The Prime Minister is expected to spend around two hours at Dera Sachkhand Ballan, during which he will interact with the sangat for nearly 15 minutes, sources added.
PM Modi will visit Punjab on 1st February, 2026. At around 3:45 PM, Prime Minister will visit Adampur airport where he will unveil the new name of the Airport as 'Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Airport, Adampur'. He will also inaugurate the Terminal Building at Halwara Airport in Ludhiana, Punjab.
