Jalandhar residents in several areas will face a two-hour power shutdown on Sunday, August 30, 2026, due to urgent maintenance work and tree-cutting activity.
The 11 KV New Model Town feeder, fed from the 132 KV Substation Urban Estate-II, will remain shut from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
The affected areas include Modern Hospital area, Al-Hambra Flats, Masand Chowk, New Model Town, Abadpura, Neelam Market, Dera Satkartar Market, Thind Eye Hospital, Geeta Mandir, Model Town and New Jawahar Nagar, along with adjoining areas.
Residents and businesses in these areas are advised to plan their activities accordingly and cooperate with the electricity department during the scheduled maintenance work.
