The power shutdown is scheduled from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and is part of routine maintenance and testing being conducted by the Protection Division to enhance the safety, efficiency, and reliability of the electricity distribution network.

Affected areas

The outage is expected to affect areas including Jalandhar Heights Phase I & II, Curo Mall, Mithapur, Greenwood Avenue, Royal Residency, Vishal Garden, Vijay Colony, New Arora Colony, Mota Singh Nagar, Garden Colony, Ravinder Nagar, along with nearby localities.

Advisory for the residents

Power department officials have requested residents to bear with the temporary inconvenience and cooperate during the maintenance work. They added that electricity supply will be restored as soon as the testing is completed, provided there are no unforeseen technical issues.

Consumers are advised to make necessary arrangements in advance to minimise any inconvenience during the one-hour power interruption.
