Punjab government orders immediate transfer of four IAS, PCS officers

Ramvir, IAS (2009), Kumar Amit, IAS (2010), Surinder Singh, PCS (2012) and Yashpal Sharma, PCS (2018) have been named in the order.

The government of Punjab, Department of Personnel, IAS Branch has issued posting/transfer orders for four officers on administrative grounds with immediate effect. The officers posted/transferred are:

1.      Ramvir, IAS (2009) who was earlier posted as Secretary, Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board and in addition Administrative Secretary, Information & Public Relations and in addition Commissioner, Jalandhar Division, Jalandhar has now been posted to Administrative Secretary, Information & Public Relations and in addition Commissioner, Jalandhar Division, Jalandhar.

2.      Kumar Amit, IAS (2010) who was posted as Special Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Punjab and in addition Administrative Secretary, Tourism & Cultural Affairs has now been moved to Special Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Punjab and in addition Administrative Secretary, Tourism & Cultural Affairs and in addition Secretary, Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board in place of Ramvir, IAS.

3.      Surinder Singh, PCS (2012) has been now posted to Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development), Tarn Taran who was earlier posted at Additional Corporation, Amritsar Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Amritsar.

4.      Yashpal Sharma, PCS (2018) who was earlier serving as Deputy Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Punjab and in addition Chief Manager (Personnel), MARKFED has now been moved to Deputy Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Punjab and in addition Deputy Director, Tourism & Cultural Affairs and in addition Additional Chief Executive Officer, Punjab Heritage & Tourism Promotion Board and in addition General Manager, Virasat-E-Khalsa, Anandpur Sahib Foundation.

The order had directed the concerned officers to join their new place of posting with immediate effect. It has also been made clear that authorities concerned will make internal arrangements for the disposal of the work of the posts that have fallen vacant as a result of this order.
